Historically, EAGLE's core initiative has been to provide data protection solutions built on the foundation of tape backup and restore. We've been integrating backup hardware since 1991, when we began our partnership with Spectra Logic. Since that time we've integrated solutions in literally hundreds of sites, with very diverse environments. New products to Spectra Logic now include tape based backup. We've also added products from Data Domain for data protection and deduplication. Our experience will help you differentiate between different technologies to find the solution that will perform well in your environment, and scales as your needs change.

Data Domain systems identify redundant files and data as they are being stored, creating a storage footprint that is up to 20x smaller than the original dataset. Originally an ideal solution for backup and disaster recovery applications, customers are now deploying Data Domain deduplication storage more broadly as a storage tier including nearline file storage, backup, disaster recovery (DR) and long term retention of enterprise data.
